Just when I begin to tire of the snowy winter days or frigid nights, I get a boost of energy by painting my spring slate paintings of flowers and Easter bunnies! When the hot summer days are no longer soothed by fresh watermelon, I think of the cool Fall evenings and start painting some smiling scarecrows. Then the excitement of Christmas enters the scene and Jolly old St Nick and snowmen hand cut into their own custom shaped snowman slates help get me in the holiday mood. I start painting the country welcome signs with snowy hills and snow covered barns and it has me longing for snow. But by the end of January, I'm looking once again for the pink tulips and yellow daffodils of spring!

Display that newly painted slate in decorative way that will help protect your slate. I sell slate posts made from hand forged iron. My supplier has them powder coated to prevent them from rust so they will last many years. They are made with 2 hooks to hold the rope. This helps prevent the slate from sliding around -unlike a shepherds hook where the slate can swing uncontrollably and end up breaking! I have a variety of styles and sizes to choose from. I will be posting photos of them as soon as the weather breaks and I can get out side to take the pictures!
